GTA VI is not unlocking everywhere at once. The PlayStation and Xbox storefronts list it country by country at midnight local time, which spreads the launch across roughly nineteen hours as midnight rolls westward around the world.
New Zealand reaches midnight first. The Americas are last, which means players in the United States will be watching footage from other regions for most of a day before they can start.
All four are the same moment, 05:00 UTC on November 19. Our homepage countdown is set to that moment. If Rockstar announces something different, we will change the countdown and this page together.
The midnight-local pattern comes from the platform storefronts rather than a Rockstar announcement. Store listings are reliable — they are what actually gates the download — but Rockstar has not published its own unlock schedule, so treat the exact minute as near-certain rather than official.
Pre-loading from November 12 means the files are already on your console. At unlock the game simply becomes playable, with no further download unless a day-one patch is waiting.
